But in the eyes of the majority, that additional square footage is far more valuable than an in-home workspace. Home office remodels stand to gain less than half of their cost upon resell.

I may love my home office, and you may, too. But we cannot assume that the next dweller will feel the same. Spend your dollars elsewhere.
